Why the brand layer comes first

Generic AI content is not a writing problem, it is a memory problem. Raldo writes your brand down before it writes a word for you - here is why that order matters.

Everyone has read AI marketing copy that could have been written about any company in any industry. Smooth, grammatical, and completely interchangeable. The usual diagnosis is that the writing is bad. We think the diagnosis is wrong, and the order of operations is the tell.

Generic is what no memory looks like

A blank prompt knows nothing about you. Whatever you type into it today is gone tomorrow, so every draft starts from the same nowhere - and a system that starts from nowhere can only reach for what everyone says. The sameness is not a style problem. It is the absence of memory, rendered as prose.

You can fight it by hand. Paste the same three paragraphs about your company into every prompt, correct the same drift every week, keep the real brand in your head and audit every sentence against it. That works, for exactly as long as you personally do it. The knowledge never leaves your head, so the tool never stops needing you to supervise the same corrections.

What the brand layer is

So Raldo does the writing down first. Before it drafts a single post, it builds your brand layer: who you are, what you sell and to whom, the pillars you talk about, the voice you say it in, the visual style you are recognised by, and the claims you can actually back. Not embeddings, not a vibe - a document you can open, read, and disagree with.

Readable matters more than it sounds. A brand you cannot inspect is a brand you cannot correct, and correction is the entire mechanism: you cross out a line, the line stays crossed out, and every draft after that starts from the corrected version. Teaching it once replaces supervising it forever.

Everything downstream starts from it

Once the layer exists, the work changes shape. A week of posts is planned against your pillars, not against a trend list. Each draft is written off the layer, then checked back against it before you see it - facts traced to sources you approved, voice measured against the voice you signed off. Designs pick up your colours and type on a real canvas instead of a template. Even the weekly readout reads your numbers in terms of the pillars you chose, because the layer defines what the numbers are supposed to mean.

The order is the product

None of this is a claim that our sentences are prettier. It is a claim about sequence: write the brand down first, and every draft starts from you instead of from nowhere. Skip that step and no amount of prompt craft gets it back.

That is also why the first week is front-loaded the way it is - day one goes to the brand layer, and everything after compounds on it. Slower for an afternoon. Faster forever.
